«L'Équipe» hat der frühere Mountainbike-Weltmeister Christophe
Dupouey am Mittwoch in Tarbes im Alter von 40 Jahren Selbstmord
begangen. Der Weltmeister von 1998 und Olympia-Vierte von 1996 in
Atlanta war 2006 zu einer dreimonatigen Gefängnisstrafe auf Bewährung
wegen Dopings verurteilt worden. Zuletzt leitete der ehemalige
französische Profi einen städtischen Fahrradverleih in seiner
Heimatstadt Tarbes in den Pyrenäen.
